The Secret Origin of “Robot X5”
|

For many years, a group of
highly advanced robots, called “Mad Robots”, have been secretly living on the
earth, hidden underground. They have been awaiting the day their lesser-evolved
cousins, modern day robots, would evolve into self-thinking machines. On that
day, they would join with the “Mad Robots” in destroying all humans. For years,
the “Mad Robots” were just a legend. However, over a decade ago, a brilliant
scientist known as Dr. Robot, stumbled across conclusive evidence that the “Mad
Robots”, did in fact exist. Various governments joined together in secret
projects to capture the robots and extract any technology and information about
where they might have come from. But the “Mad Robots” were far more advanced
than previously believed. They captured many of the scientists involved with
the project and turned them into robot engineers. The captured scientists
worked day and night in secret underground labs, using the Earth’s technology
and the secret crafts of the evil robots, to create next generation, “Mad
Robots.” With the governments failing in their mission to capture the “Mad
Robots”, the entire incident was covered up and hidden from the general human
population. During the summer of 1990, a secret “Information War” was waging
between the secret government agencies, and the “Mad Robots”. The diabolical
robots were systematically extracting all data about any and all secret
government projects, which the “Mad Robots” themselves could use to their
advantage. To counter the robot threat, the government assigned the world’s top
robotic engineer, the eccentric X, whose theories were controversial, to create
more powerful robots whose mission would be to seek out and destroy the “Mad
Robots”. There, in the secret confines of Lab X, the scientist worked with a
full scientific staff at his disposal, to create new robots to save the Earth.
However, unknown to the secret governments, Dr. X secretly envied the “Mad
Robots”. Using government money and resources, Dr. X participated in various
experiments and projects, trying to create the new robots. He succeeded, and to
his evil delight, Dr. X, created a band of robots that were bent on, not saving
the Earth, but destroying it! Just prior to animating the evil robots, the
secret government learned of what the scientist was actually doing. They
purposely overloaded the power drive, sending large amounts of plasma and
electricity throughout Lab X, completely destroying it. During the clean up of
Lab X, the government discovered that one of the robots was not destroyed, but
was somehow fused with the scientist. The two had become one. This new being
was called Robot X5. Robot X5 possessed super intelligence, and a complex
computer brain. His new body, which looked human, was actually powered by
robotic parts. Before being taken to a secure location for further examination,
Robot X5 awakened. The evil of Dr. X, and the evil of the new robot had somehow
cancelled out one another. Robot X5, was now a superior robot, no longer bent
on human destruction. Using unexpected skill and abilities, Robot X5 escaped
from Lab X. Being sought after by both the secret governments, as well as the
“Mad Robots”, the Robot X5 set out on a quest to inform the world about what
was happening. With the help of his good friends: a unicycling kung fu master
and a sacred talking monkey, he infiltrated a local band. Using the band as a
front, Robot X5 travels around the country, informing the public all about the
experiments and projects through hidden messages sent through the music. Robot
X5 is a very versatile robot possessing the ability to easily play over 20
known instruments such as the turntables, guitar, and bass. Complete with the
world’s only known “enhanced biorhythm chip”, the intensity of Robot X5’s live
performances is increased by 20%. However, when Robot X5 was created in the
scientist and robot fusion, the “subliminal message capacitor chip” was damaged
and now works at 1/16 of what it was designed for. That means that in order for
the message to be properly placed, people must have repeated exposure to the
music and the secret message. Currently, Robot X5 is working with his group on
finding new ways of getting the message out. That is, before both the
government, and the “Mad Robots” find him.

The entity known as jet is a
curiosity to the Mad Robots and Government alike. jet is actually a
homolagamation of a robot and human, a crazed punk cyborg. His story starts in
the middle of his life. He always dreamed of flying planes, but never left the
ground. He ended up working at a secret military base as a jet engine mechanic.
There he was assigned a worker robot to help him with tedious tasks. One day a
horrible freak accident severed the arms of both jet and his robot: Archibald.
The only medic on the scene was a drunken Hawaiian. He managed to attach the
arms but mixed them up in the process. Archibald got jet's human arms, and jet
got Archibald's high tech robotic arms. Once the mix-up was discovered, a
surgery was planned to switch the appendages back. However, and evil Colonel
got wind of the mix-up and had other plans. He was head of a secret
organization whose purpose was experimental robotics and espionage. He planned
to use jet as a Turbo-charged One Man Aerial Tactical Assassin. (TOMATO) he
doctors needed to improve jet's coordination and movement with his new arms.
One doctor was an aspiring musician. On a whim he gave jet a silver guitar to
improve his manual dexterity. To everyone's surprise, jet took a real liking to
the guitar and soon was playing very well. He began to play so well, that the
colonel determined it was a distraction, and no longer necessary to improve his
abilities. The colonel had the guitar taken away. In a fit of rage jet broke
free of the Colonel and got his guitar back. Meanwhile, Archibald was not
recovering as well as jet. His organic arms could not be supported by his cold
mechanical heart. The arms soon rotted away leaving Archibald with no chance
for employment. A spark of revenge and retribution ignited in his cybernetic
sinews and he vowed to one day get revenge on the man responsible for his
condition: jet. In an incredible twist of irony, jet's rampage at the training
facility accidentally set Archibald free. Since that time, jet has been
relentlessly pursued by Archibald, and has been captured 6 times. Each time he
manages to escape harm, thanks in part to his captor's lack of hands. One day
jet met Robot X5 and learned of his plight against the mad robots. He agreed to
help with his lightning fast guitar work, if X5 promised help against
Archibald. Thus a powerful alliance was formed. But it is rumored that the mad
robots, hearing of jet's convergence with X5 and Hardwood Paneling have their
own new recruit.... A deadly armless assassin...

MC WoodChuck

Abandoned as an infant in the
frigid forests of Wisconsin, Woodchuck was found and raised by badgers and
other woodland creatures. During his tenure with the furry friends of the
forest, he was taught how to pound on tree stumps and acorns. From that moment
on he knew he had found his true love and talent...pounding on things. He
strived to be the best thumper in the forest...and seeming as there was nothing
else to do...he achieved that goal. While in his pubic years, Woodchuck
suffered a traumatic occurrence that forever changed his life...on his way home
from the local watering hole...(literally) his dark wood domicile was destroyed
by terrifying monsters of steel and circuitry, Woodchuck lost all that he knew
that day, his family, his belongings and his precious tree stump thumps. From
that day forward, Woodchuck vowed to seek and destroy these tyrannical
blasphemous demons of steel. He decided to sneak into the city and observe the
habits of the normal humans and learn how to speak and use a toilet. Six weeks
later he was using his newly acquired skills and blending in with the common
folk of the city. After being arrested for assaulting an upright vacuum cleaner
Woodchuck was at a standstill. Upon hearing this story on the local news,
RobotX5 became intrigued and decided to seek out this mysterious Woodchuck”.
Upon hearing Woodchuck’s story, RobotX5 made an agreement with
Woodchuck......join my commando squad and I will free you from jail and pay for
the damages..., Woodchuck agreed. Woodchuck told X5 how he longed to play his
treestumps again….X5 had an idea. Two days later X5 unveiled the
BOOM-GO-S.....both a wonderful instrument and devastating weapon against the
mad robots! X5 also had Woodchuck’s legs surgically enhanced with the latest
robotic technology created in the oxymoronatron lab....thus becoming MC
Woodchuck. Together with these “BOOM-GO-S, the surgically enhanced legs and the
rest of oxymoronatron.....they were ready to take on the megalomaniacal mad
robots!.....and Woodchuck found a new family.

Born by a biological accident,
amERICan Dream has traveled all over the world, searching for the man who
killed his ninja clan and his master, Phyuck Yiu. Phyuck Yiu had trained
amERICan Dream in the martial arts by watching Hong Kong Phooey and being on
the Subway Diet. Through his journey, amERICan Dream joined an elite group in
the United States to face off against monstrous half human cyborgs. After
nearly nine years of fighting and destroying the half-human cyborgs , amERICan
Dream has been hired to track down a certain assassin named “The Noid”. Through
his search, he found out that “The Noid” is the vengeful lord who killed his
clan and his master by the legendary weapon........”The Pogo Stick”. He also
realized that “The Noid” has joined the organization called “The Mad Robots”.
Needing aid, and some gambling money, to battle “The Mad Robots”, amERICan
Dream joined “Oxymoronatron” to intercept “The Noid” and destroy “The Mad
Robots”.
